Abstract
This study explores challenges in hydrology education at Chinese universities by comparing Hohai University (China) and the University of Arizona (USA). A lack of financial support in China leads to high student-teacher ratios, insufficiently qualified educators, and poor resources. Collaborative online learning programs are suggested as a solution, and emulating aspects of the US system is recommended for improving interdisciplinary hydrology education in China.
