Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of China's Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative on the green development (GD) of construction enterprises. Using panel data from 28 Chinese provinces (2010-2020) and a fixed effects model, the study finds a positive effect of the B&R policy on GD in planned focus areas, primarily through reducing CO2 emission intensity. Factors like R&D, regional development, education, labor productivity, and sewage treatment investment also significantly influence CO2 emissions and, consequently, GD.
