Alzheimer's disease (AD), a leading cause of dementia, is characterized by impaired memory, cognitive deficits, and behavioral abnormalities due to amyloid beta plaques and neurofibrillary tangles. This review explores honey's potential as a nootropic agent to prevent and treat AD, focusing on its flavonoid and phenolic acid content and their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects.
