Abstract
This study identifies priority conservation areas and Genetic Zones (GZs) for *Nothofagus pumilio*, a foundation species of Patagonian forests threatened by climate change and human activities. Thirty-five populations (965 trees) were genotyped with SSRs. Bayesian approaches identified six priority conservation areas with high allelic richness and/or exclusive allelic variants. Eighteen GZs were delineated, providing management units for sustainable practices and conservation funding.
