Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) is a crucial technology offering direct insights into cellular processes. This research presents scan-less wide-field FLIM using a 0.5 MP time-gated SPAD camera, achieving acquisition rates up to 1 Hz. Fluorescence lifetime estimation is significantly accelerated (1000-fold) using a pre-trained artificial neural network compared to traditional methods. Imaging of HT1080 cells and Convallaria demonstrates the system's potential for real-time FLIM and its scalability to multi-megapixel resolution (3.6 MP proof-of-principle).
