Explore the fascinating link between emotional well-being and gut microbiome profiles in healthy Korean adults, as investigated by Sung-Ha Lee and colleagues. Abstract
This study investigated the association between emotional well-being and gut microbiome profiles in healthy Korean adults (n=83). Two enterotypes were identified, dominated by *Bacteroides* and *Prevotella*. Positive correlation between positive emotion and gut microbiome diversity (Shannon Index) was found only in the *Prevotella*-dominant group. A novel genus from the Lachnospiraceae family was associated with both positive and negative affect scores.
