This systematic review investigated the combined effects of exercise and dietary supplementation on body composition and physical function in older adults with sarcopenia. A search of EBSCO, Scopus, and PubMed databases yielded 16 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) meeting the inclusion criteria. Results showed that resistance exercise (at least five times per week) combined with daily essential amino acids (3 g) or whey protein (22–36 g) supplementation improved muscle mass and lean mass. Synergistic effects were observed on strength, speed, stability, and quality of life. Adherence to both exercise and supplementation regimens is crucial for optimal benefits. Future research should focus on optimizing these strategies.
