Abstract
This study identifies hepatic lncRNA Gm19619, repressed by vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) but upregulated by obesity and fasting. Forced Gm19619 expression promotes gluconeogenesis, while its knockdown improves glucose and lipid metabolism. Gm19619 modulates Lepr and Foxo1 transcription, suggesting it enhances gluconeogenesis and lipid accumulation.
