Abstract
This article investigates the representations of sexual minorities (SMs) in China's English-language news media using corpus linguistic tools. Analyzing 354 news articles from four major online publications, the study reveals that SMs are predominantly portrayed as unhealthy individuals, victims, and progressionists, reflecting coexisting conservative and liberal perspectives. The findings also discuss potential contributing factors to these representations.
