This study investigates media bias in Egyptian and Ethiopian news coverage of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) using corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis. By analyzing over a million words from online news sources, the study identifies statistically salient keywords and examines their collocations to reveal distinct biases. Egyptian news frames the GERD as a crisis, portraying Ethiopia negatively, while Ethiopian news portrays Egypt as obstructing Ethiopia's development.
