This research explores the complex interplay of gender, technology, nationalism, and misogyny in China's digital landscape, focusing on the online reaction to an internet celebrity's accusation against Apple. Using Feminist Critical Discourse Analysis (FCDA) and corpus-assisted critical discourse analysis (CADA), the study analyzes comments on Douyin (TikTok China) to reveal how female iPhone users are portrayed as intellectually inferior and linked to sex work, reflecting broader anxieties about techno-nationalism and economic competition.
