Abstract
This study investigates the impact of sociopolitical conflict on biodiversity conservation in the Philippines, particularly in Mindanao. The research found a negative correlation between conflict levels and biodiversity indicators like species richness and forest cover. Security risks associated with conflict hinder biodiversity monitoring and conservation efforts. The paper proposes ten approaches to improve biodiversity knowledge and conservation in conflict-affected areas, emphasizing conflict-sensitive strategies and aligning conservation efforts with local realities.
