Abstract
This study investigates factors influencing the intention to use information and communication technology (ITUICT) and its acceptance in China's education sector. A literature review identified perceived awareness, information acquisition, trustworthiness, social influence, and regulatory support as potential factors. A survey of 381 university employees in China, analyzed using partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), revealed that all five factors significantly impact ITUICT. Trustworthiness further positively moderates the relationship between these factors and ITUICT. The findings suggest the importance of training, support, and a supportive organizational culture to enhance ICT adoption in Chinese education.
