Abstract
This autoethnographic account explores the pervasive impacts of English language hegemony in academia, particularly within anthropology. The author, a Pakistani anthropologist, examines the challenges faced by non-native English-speaking scholars, focusing on the financial burdens of translation and the limited acceptance of publications and presentations in native languages. The author introduces the concept of "plurilogies," advocating for the coexistence and acceptance of multiple perspectives and languages within anthropological platforms.
