This paper analyzes Polish media discourse on migration from 2015 to 2018, a period marked by increased migratory waves into the European Union. Using a mixed-methods approach combining corpus linguistics (CL) and critical discourse analysis (CDA), the study reveals a sharp divide between conservative and liberal media outlets. Conservative media predominantly focused on the negative aspects of migration, often highlighting security threats, while liberal media acknowledged the economic migration from Ukraine and emphasized the need for solidarity with migrants. The study also examines the role of tabloid media, which, while critical of both government and opposition, presented a more nuanced perspective on the issue. The securitization of migration, a prominent theme across all analyzed discourses, was found to be more intensely portrayed in right-wing media.
