This article examines the conditions and consequences of democratizing public discourse on criminal justice, using the Roman Zadorov case in Israel as a case study. It highlights three key conditions for this democratization: (1) digitization of investigative materials, (2) public transparency of these materials, and (3) the existence of online platforms for discussion. The study analyzes the implications of these conditions, including the preservation of materials, the use of raw materials to construct arguments, the creation of alternative narratives, and the impact on public officials and individuals involved.
