Abstract
Human activity significantly impacts ecological and evolutionary change. This study uses the Pacific kelp *Undaria pinnatifida*, cultivated in Northeast Asia and introduced to other continents, for a genome-wide analysis of natural, cultivated, and introduced populations. The results show that these categories are distinguishable at the genome level due to both neutral (demography and migration) and non-neutral (selection) processes.
