Abstract
This study uses affective computing to quantitatively analyze emotional narratives in Chinese science fiction, examining whether female authors exhibit more nuanced emotions than their male counterparts. The findings reveal no significant difference in emotional narratives between male and female science fiction writers, despite prevalent assumptions to the contrary.
