The Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships program is designed for students eager to gain hands-on experience in the scientific study of inequality and its social consequences. Fellows will be connected to one of the Cook Centerβs research pillars, such as:
- Educational and Economic Opportunity
- Health Equity
- Carceral Justice
Additionally, fellows will engage with cross-cutting themes, including:
- Systems and structures of inequality
- Public policy engagement
- Data science and methodological innovation
- Training the next generation of scholars
π Benefits
- Stipend: $2,500 per summer term (up to $5,000 if engaged for both terms).
β Eligibility Criteria
- Open only to current Duke University (and DKU) undergraduate students.
- Applicants must be enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
