π About Immigrant Justice Corps Community Fellowship
Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC) is accepting applications for its Community Fellowship 2026. This fellowship offers three-year placements for recent college graduates who possess linguistic skills, cultural competency, and a passion for working with diverse immigrant communities.
The program aims to develop advocates who achieve full accreditation from the Department of Justiceβs Recognition & Accreditation Program by the end of the fellowship.

β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Community Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Education:
- Applicants may be enrolled in an undergraduate degree, provided they graduate by Spring 2026.
- Applicants may have graduated from college no more than two years prior to the start of the fellowship (no earlier than Spring 2024).
- Work Authorization:
- All Fellows must be eligible for work authorization in the U.S. for the full three years of the fellowship placement.
- Applicants with DACA or TPS are welcome to apply.
- Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in a second language, in addition to English, is required.
- Spanish (including indigenous dialects) is preferred for the Class of 2026.

- Describe why you would like to be a Community Fellow.

- How might an IJC Fellowship prepare you for your future career?
- Why are you interested in participating in a fellowship program?
- What area(s) of immigration practice (e.g., asylum, humanitarian, family-based, detention) are you seeking to gain experience in and why?
- What skills and experiences do you bring to working with immigrant communities?
- Essay Question (500 words or less):
- Fellows should exhibit cultural humility, translate complex doctrine and policy into plain language for immigrants, and align with IJC's mission and theory of change.
- Letter(s) of Recommendation:
- One letter is required.
- A second letter is optional but highly valued.
