The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce £5,000 scholarships for select students in the MENA region applying for undergraduate programs. These scholarships are joint awards with the University's local representatives and will be granted to the highest-performing students starting their studies in the 2026/2027 academic year.

• £5,000 award towards tuition fees (for the first year only) of a full-time undergraduate degree program at the University of Birmingham UK campus, starting in September 2026.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate program starting in September 2026.
• Meet the academic conditions of their offer.
• Be classified by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes.
• Be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
• Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses.
• Start their studies at the University in September 2026 (the scholarship cannot be deferred).
• Be registered with, and have their undergraduate study application attached to, one of the University's local representatives.
• Submit their scholarship application through one of the local representatives by the deadline: 30 May 2026.
• Upon enrolment in September 2026, pay their net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November 2026.
• Be domiciled in one of the following countries:

  • Bahrain
  • Egypt
  • Iran
  • Jordan
  • Kuwait
  • Lebanon
  • Morocco
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)

📅 Application Date and Process

• To apply for the scholarship, students must:
  • Have accepted an offer from the University of Birmingham.
  • Have selected Birmingham as their firm choice.
  • Be in contact with one of the University's agent partners/local representatives by the scholarship deadline: 30 May 2026.
• Selection for the award will be based on academic merit.
• In exceptional cases where academic merit alone cannot determine the awardee (e.g., identical grades), applicants may be asked to attend an online interview.
