The University of Birmingham is offering High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships for students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. These scholarships are designed to support high-achieving students entering undergraduate programs at the University in September 2026.
🌟 About the Scholarship
The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce £5,000 scholarships for select students in the MENA region applying for undergraduate programs. These scholarships are joint awards with the University's local representatives and will be granted to the highest-performing students starting their studies in the 2026/2027 academic year.

- £5,000 award towards tuition fees (for the first year only) of a full-time undergraduate degree program at the University of Birmingham UK campus, starting in September 2026.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate program starting in September 2026.
- Meet the academic conditions of their offer.
- Be classified by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes.
- Be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
- Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses.
- Start their studies at the University in September 2026 (the scholarship cannot be deferred).
- Be registered with, and have their undergraduate study application attached to, one of the University's local representatives.
- Submit their scholarship application through one of the local representatives by the deadline: 30 May 2026.
- Upon enrolment in September 2026, pay their net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November 2026.
- Be domiciled in one of the following countries:
- Algeria
- Bahrain
- Egypt
- Iran
- Jordan
- Kuwait
- Lebanon
- Morocco
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
📅 Application Date and Process
- To apply for the scholarship, students must:
- Have accepted an offer from the University of Birmingham.
- Have selected Birmingham as their firm choice.
- Be in contact with one of the University's agent partners/local representatives by the scholarship deadline: 30 May 2026.
- Selection for the award will be based on academic merit.
- In exceptional cases where academic merit alone cannot determine the awardee (e.g., identical grades), applicants may be asked to attend an online interview.
