  • Ground transportation, including public transportation passes
  • Books and supplies required for study or research (excluding computers and other equipment)

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a full-time student enrolled at a post-secondary institution in Canada for the next two academic terms.
  2. Have completed at least one full academic year in their diploma or degree program before the application deadline or have completed a different degree/diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution immediately before starting their current program.
  3. Have at least one academic year remaining in their diploma or degree program.
  4. Not be participating in another scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada.
  5. Canadian Applicants:
    • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person under subsection 95(2) of Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act as of the application deadline.
  6. International Applicants:
    • Must have a valid Study Permit.

📋 Application Process and Required Documents

Supporting Documents

Documents in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an official translation.

  1. Proof of Identity:
    • Canadian Applicants: Provide a copy of your passport, ID card, or driver's license issued by a Canadian province or territory. Non-citizen Canadian applicants must also provide proof of status in Canada.
    • International Applicants: Provide a copy of your passport and valid Study Permit.
  2. Certification of Family Relationship (if applicable):
    • Submit a signed statement affirming your relationship to a Flight PS752 victim (e.g., spouse, child, sibling, etc.). Family members of victims will receive extra points during the evaluation process.
  3. Transcript:
    • Provide an official transcript showing your latest grades or confirming your passing grade.
  4. Letter of Motivation (maximum 500 words):
    • Explain your motivation for applying for the scholarship.
    • Describe how your chosen diploma or degree aligns with the victims’ academic and professional backgrounds or focuses on air disaster prevention.
    • Demonstrate your understanding and awareness of the tragedy.
    • Highlight your connection to the victims and how you will use the scholarship to honor their legacies.
