The Graça Machel Trust’s Women Creating Wealth-Intergenerational (WCW-I) edition, in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation, is designed to build women entrepreneurs’ confidence, skills, and networks to scale their businesses and transition from income generation to wealth creation.

This program is more than just an initiative—it's a movement aimed at transforming Africa’s economies through meaningful support to women entrepreneurs.

📖 About the Program

The WCW-I Program is a 6-month sprint that strengthens entrepreneurial foundations and fast-tracks participants into Technical Coaching—a personalized 3-month journey focused on scaling businesses for impact and sustainability.

Key Features:

• Online Learning Platform: The program is hosted on a Learning Management System (LMS), requiring participants to have internet access.
• Self-Learning Sessions: Includes coaching and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
• Networking Opportunities: Virtual and face-to-face workshops and networking sessions.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

General Requirements

• Age: 18 years and above.
• Education: Must have completed secondary school education.
• Business Turnover: Annual turnover between USD 10,000 to USD 500,000 (or equivalent in local currency).
• Business Experience: At least 2 years of operating any form of business.
• Employment: Business must employ a minimum of 5 young people with potential for further job creation.
• Program Engagement: Not currently enrolled in another entrepreneurship support program lasting longer than a week.
• Operational Business: Must have a product/service that can be tested in the market with potential for growth and impact.

Eligible Locations

Applicants must operate a business in one of the following countries:

• Kenya
• Malawi
• Senegal
• South Africa
• Tanzania
• Zambia

Business Sectors

Eligible businesses must fall within one of the following sectors:

• Agriculture
• Tourism
• Manufacturing and Value Addition
• Transport and Infrastructure
• Information & Communications Technology (ICT)
• Building & Construction
• Trade and Services
• Renewable Energy/Green Energy

📅 Application Dates and Process

• Application Deadline: 24 June 2025
• Ignite Program Duration: 30 June – 11 August 2025 (online)
• Technical Coaching Duration: 11 August – 10 November 2025

Program Commitment

• 6-8 hours per week for learning, assignments, and masterclass attendance.
• Weekly submission of mandatory toolkits.
• Full participation is required to transition to the coaching phase.
