To be eligible for the AGRTPS scholarship, applicants must:

- Be a citizen of any country except New Zealand.
- Not hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status, or New Zealand citizenship.

- Intend to commence full-time study for a Higher Degree by Research in Australia for the first time in 2026.
- Students who commenced their Higher Degree by Research in the previous year but were unable to apply for an AGRTPS due to timing issues may also be considered.

- Intend to enroll in an area of research concentration where Flinders University has particular strength and external funding.

Entry Requirements:
- Meet all entry requirements for a Higher Degree by Research, including English proficiency as per the university's English Language Proficiency Requirements for HDR Candidature.
- Provide valid English test results (valid until 31 March 2027) at the time of application. Applications with invalid test results will be deemed ineligible.
