📝 About the Program
The F.M. Kirby Foundation Summer Internship Program is designed for rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in exploring a career in philanthropy or nonprofit management.
This internship is tailored to the interests and skill sets of the selected intern and includes opportunities such as:
- Interacting with individuals across various program areas, including health, arts, environment, human services, and education.
- Working in a collaborative, team environment.
- Assisting with Foundation communications.
- Engaging in projects that involve research and require strong writing skills.
By the end of the internship, participants will gain:
- A deeper understanding of the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.
- Valuable work experience.
- Networking opportunities.
🎁 Benefits
- Compensation: $23/hour.
- A one-time travel stipend will also be provided.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the program, candidates must:
- Have qualified for need-based financial aid in the previous school year.
- Maintain a current GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Be enrolled in any major.

- Be responsible, punctual, and self-aware.
- Possess strong writing skills and excellent research skills.

- Be able to follow directions closely and be self-motivated.
