📝 About the Program

The Community-Centered Connectivity (CCC) Grant Program empowers communities to design, implement, and sustain their own connectivity solutions. It addresses key barriers to meaningful Internet access, including:

  • Availability
  • Affordability
  • Adoption
  • Digital literacy

Additionally, the program strengthens local capacity and fosters partnerships with stakeholders.

🎁 Benefits

Eligible organizations can apply to one of the three funding tracks based on their capacity, experience, project scale, and duration:

  1. Catalyst Track

    • Funding: Up to USD $50,000
    • Purpose: Build at least one new connectivity solution or expand an existing solution in a community.
    • Duration: Up to 12 months
  2. Scaling Track

    • Funding: Up to USD $200,000
    • Purpose: Support deployment of proven, successful solutions to improve or expand connectivity to multiple communities.
    • Duration: Up to 18 months
  3. Systems Track

    • Funding: Above USD $200,000
    • Purpose: Support large-scale replication of proven community connectivity solutions in multiple communities or at regional/multi-country levels.
    • Duration: Up to 24 months
    • Note: This is an invite-only track. Only applicants invited by an ISOC Foundation staff member can apply.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a legally registered non-profit organization or social enterprise in their country with an official bank account in their name that can receive funds from a foundation based in the United States.
  • Be well-positioned to implement the project with successful experience managing similar Internet-connectivity work, technical skills of staff/partners, and other strengths and capacities.
  • Have demonstrated support from the local community/communities that will benefit from the connectivity solutions.
  • Preference will be given to organizations working with:
    • Refugees/displaced communities
    • Indigenous communities
    • Women and girls

Track-Specific Eligibility:

  • Catalyst Track: Preference for organizations that have managed grants over USD $20,000.
  • Scaling Track: Organizations must have a demonstrated record of managing grants of at least USD $50,000.
  • Systems Track: Invitation-only. Only organizations invited by an ISOC Foundation staff member will be eligible to apply.
