The Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship is designed for mid-career professionals with demonstrable leadership potential in the field of cyber security or cyber policy in India. This fellowship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office and hosted by Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (Shrivenham Campus).

This ten-week fellowship provides participants with an in-depth understanding of policy and legislative approaches in cyber security and their implications for:
- National security
- Commercial opportunities
- Crime prevention
- The right to privacy
Key Focus Areas:
- Cyber threats: Threat landscape, risk assessment, implications for national security, internet governance structures, and protection of critical national infrastructure.
- Economics of online business: Cybersecurity consumer awareness, technology adoption challenges, relevance of open source, and effective technology adoption by consumers.
- Cyber-crime and internet law: Economic impact of cyber-crime, domestic and international countermeasures, privacy concerns, social media accountability, and internet law enforcement.

โ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of India and currently reside in the country.
- Commit to returning to India after the fellowship.
- Not hold British or dual-British citizenship.
- Have at least seven years of relevant work experience prior to applying.
- Possess a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional training in science, engineering, or technology.
- Demonstrate significant work experience in cyber security or cyber policy (e.g., policy organizations, academia, corporate law, law enforcement, or journalism).
- Exhibit a strong academic background in science, engineering, or technology.
- Have a good working knowledge of English (assessed during the application and interview process).
- Show a record of leadership and/or innovation.
- Agree to adhere to all fellowship guidelines and expectations.
- Not be an employee, former employee, or relative of an employee of His Majestyโs Government or related organizations within the last two years.
