Abstract
This qualitative study investigates factors affecting the job satisfaction of home caregivers in the UK, using thematic analysis of in-depth interviews. Both visible (e.g., client interactions, management style, training) and invisible (e.g., sense of belonging, respect) factors significantly impact satisfaction. Agency practices and behaviors strongly influence caregivers' experiences. Understanding these factors can inform policymakers and agencies to better support caregivers and address challenges of an aging population.
