Abstract
This work introduces a streamlined fabrication method for 3D spiral microfluidic devices using rotational force within a miniaturized thermal drawing process (mini-rTDP). This allows rapid prototyping of twisted fiber-based microfluidics with versatility in material selection and heightened geometric intricacy. Computational modeling and microtomographic particle image velocimetry (µTPIV) characterized the 3D flow dynamics, confirming a steady secondary flow. This platform has promising applications in drug delivery, diagnostics, and lab-on-a-chip systems.
