Pakistan, a low and middle-income country (LMIC), faces challenges in providing sustainable healthcare due to inadequate financing, weak infrastructure, and insufficient human resources. This paper identifies key strategies for achieving sustainable healthcare systems in Pakistan and draws lessons for other LMICs. A comprehensive literature review of policies and practices related to healthcare financing, service delivery, health ICTs, governance, and human resources was conducted. Recommendations include comprehensive healthcare financing policies, improved service delivery through restructuring public facilities and public-private partnerships, expanded use of ICTs, effective governance and leadership reforms, and strengthening health human resources. Achieving sustainable healthcare systems requires comprehensive strategies across all these areas.
