This case report details the challenges faced by a 47-year-old male with hereditary angioedema (HAE) due to the high cost of medication and highlights the first reported case of cocaine as a potential HAE trigger. The patient experienced multiple life-threatening attacks requiring ICU admission, demonstrating the severe consequences of inadequate access to treatment. The high cost of HAE medications, coupled with the patient's cocaine use and subsequent non-adherence to treatment, underscores the need for increased affordability and patient support programs.
