Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) are characterized by progressive neuronal damage. Alzheimer's disease (AD), a prevalent ND, is driven by neuroinflammation and oxidative stress (OS). Cardamonin (CD), a phytochemical found in plants like *Alpinia katsumadai*, exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This review explores CD's neuroprotective effects, focusing on its ability to modulate signaling molecules involved in AD pathogenesis, including transcription factors, cytokines, enzymes, and other proteins and genes. The review also examines CD's impact on miRNA levels and autophagy. Overall, the review suggests CD's potential as a therapeutic agent for AD prevention and treatment.
