This review examines the therapeutic potential of cannabidiol (CBD) in treating brain disorders and various drug delivery approaches. While the mechanism of action is still under investigation, CBD affects numerous brain drug targets involved in brain disorders. Preclinical and clinical evidence support CBD's potential in treating epilepsy, pain, depression, anxiety, and psychosis. Due to low oral bioavailability, more efficient routes like pulmonary and intranasal delivery are suggested, offering non-invasive, fast absorption, and increased bioavailability.
