Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between governance characteristics, information technology governance, and continuity management during Covid-19 in an emerging economy. Using a survey of 232 respondents (board members, executives, auditors, IT experts) and structural equation modeling, the results show that IT governance significantly impacts business continuity. Board size, independence, and audit committee characteristics positively affect IT governance. IT governance moderates the relationship between several board characteristics and business continuity, highlighting the importance of IT governance in crisis management.
