This paper investigates the impact of digital transformation on the quality and safety of Chinese agricultural exports using data from 2007-2016. The study finds that digital transformation significantly improves export quality and safety, particularly for exports to developed countries, non-state-owned enterprises, and those in the eastern region. The mechanisms include technological innovation, product tracing, information sharing, and quality assurance.
