Abstract
This study investigated the potential impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) on Turkish education using a qualitative approach. Academics were surveyed to understand AI's role, revealing a need for increased AI awareness in Turkey. Government policies highlight the importance of universities in national AI strategies, influenced by a strong private education sector and growing international interest. The study identifies challenges in understanding AI applications and suggests necessary actions to leverage AI's benefits in Turkish education.
