Abstract
This study explored the benefits of exposing post-secondary Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students in Trinidad and Tobago to entrepreneurship training using a mixed-methods approach. Findings revealed a lack of entrepreneurship education and culture within the post-secondary TVET institutions. Regression analysis and Spearman's Correlation Analysis showed a positive relationship between exposure to entrepreneurship education and interest in entrepreneurial pursuits. Qualitative data from interviews and focus groups highlighted challenges within the TVET system impacting entrepreneurial training. The researchers propose an entrepreneurship education model for integration into post-secondary TVET institutions.
