This study investigated the association between social isolation and Parkinson's disease (PD) symptom severity and quality of life. A survey of individuals with PD revealed that social isolation, loneliness, and diminished social function and satisfaction were significantly associated with increased PD symptom severity and reduced quality of life. The findings highlight the need for interventions to maintain social connections among individuals with PD, particularly in the context of social distancing measures.
