Abstract
This paper examines 14 Glasgow climate initiatives launched around COP26, assessing their potential to contribute to the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C goal. It finds that even with full implementation, these initiatives would only partially address the 2030 emissions gap. The study highlights the need for increased national government participation, incorporation of initiative goals into updated NDCs, and enhanced institutional capacity for effective emission reductions.
