Abstract

This study identifies suitable potential areas for agricultural activities in Central Anatolia's semi-arid ecosystem (≈195,012.7 km²). Using GIS and fuzzy MCDA with nine criteria (four terrain, five soil properties), weighted by FAHP, the study found that approximately 30.7% of the area is very suitable or suitable for agriculture, 42.7% is unsuitable, and 27% is marginally suitable. The study aims to assist sustainable land management by considering soil characteristics, crucial in arid/semi-arid regions.
