Abstract
The interplay of charge and spin degrees of freedom in cuprate high-temperature superconductors is investigated using neutron scattering under uniaxial pressure. The study demonstrates that charge and spin density waves respond similarly to applied pressure, indicating a direct coupling between these degrees of freedom. The results suggest that models for high-temperature superconductivity must account for the coupled charge-spin stripe fluctuations.
