Abstract
This work explores the scalable production of graphene oxide (GO) membranes as ion-exchange membranes with tunable permselectivity. The study investigates the impact of membrane thickness, UV-light reduction, binder addition, and flake size on ion selectivity and ionic resistance. Results demonstrate high cation selectivity (up to 96%), low ionic resistance (4.6 Ω cm²), and improved mechanical properties through the use of binders. UV-light irradiation is presented as an effective green reduction method.
