Abstract
This paper reports a novel photocatalytic radical strategy for synthesizing densely functionalized azetidines from azabicyclo[1.1.0]butanes. The method uses an organic photosensitizer to control energy transfer, leading to the formation of radical intermediates that react via a strain-release process. The reaction's efficiency and versatility are demonstrated through the synthesis of various azetidine derivatives, including those of celecoxib and naproxen.
