Abstract
The deteriorating oil tanker Safer, containing 1.1 million barrels of oil, poses a significant threat of a massive oil spill in the Red Sea. This study models the immediate public health impacts of such a spill, estimating disruptions to fuel, food, and clean water supplies, as well as increased cardiovascular hospitalization risks. The results highlight the urgent need for action to prevent this impending disaster.
