This paper explores the strengths and challenges of public health educational institutions in India using a web-based desk review, in-depth interviews, and a qualitative SWOT analysis. Findings reveal a diverse range of programs, with strengths in research capacity, financial accessibility, and innovation. However, weaknesses include a need for improved collaborations and harmonized training with well-defined career pathways. Opportunities include growing sector attention, improved technologies, and community engagement; threats include external misconceptions hindering institutional efficacy.
