Abstract
DNA's high density, longevity, and resource efficiency make it a promising data storage medium. This paper explores using thermodynamic tuning of biomolecular interactions to improve data access and organization in DNA-based storage. The authors screened various environmental conditions (DNA concentrations, temperatures) to selectively access either full image files or low-resolution previews from a large database. They demonstrated File Preview with four JPEG images and argued for the substantial economic benefits of this strategy.
