This study investigates the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the U.S. population structure using data from the United Nations World Population Prospects and the cohort component projection method. The research examines the combined impact of pandemic-induced changes in mortality, fertility, and migration on population size and age distribution until 2060. The findings highlight the significant long-term effects of reduced migration, a decline in the reproductive-aged population, and the impact of increased mortality on the dependency ratio.
