Abstract

This study explored principals' strategies for managing HIV prevention programs in South African secondary schools, focusing on adolescent girls. A qualitative, phenomenological design was used, involving interviews with principals in four Gauteng districts. Findings suggest that strengthening the delivery systems for HIV intervention programs is crucial for combating rising HIV infections among adolescent girls. The study offers a new perspective on educational leadership in addressing ineffective HIV program management and implementation.
