Abstract
This work demonstrates that high pressure can induce superconductivity in MnSe, a material exhibiting complex magnetic behavior at ambient conditions. Superconductivity, confirmed through magnetic and resistive measurements, emerges with a critical temperature (Tc) of ~5 K at ~12 GPa, reaching a maximum Tc of 9 K (magnetic measurement) at ~35 GPa. The observed superconductivity is suggested to be closely related to pressure-induced structural changes and potentially influenced by interfaces between metallic and insulating regions.
