Predicting organizational performance from motivation in Oromia Seed Enterprise Bale branch

This research assesses the effect of extrinsic motivation on intrinsic motivation and organizational performance at the Oromia Seed Enterprise, Bale branch, using a quantitative approach and cognitive evaluation theory. The study involved all 119 employees, collecting data via a questionnaire. Findings indicate a moderate level of organizational performance and employee motivation. Both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation positively correlate with organizational performance. However, their interaction effect is insignificant, suggesting no undermining effect of extrinsic motivation on intrinsic motivation in this context. The study contributes theoretically to the Ethiopian context and offers practical implications for improving organizational performance.
